| Guest | Why No Scanner Wizard? I'm not talking about the setup Wizard, but the REAL Fax & Scanner Wizard in XP that allowed preview, setting dpi, designating file name and location. I have a good scanner, but it was programmed to work best through the Wizard. Why would Microsoft elminate this feature? What can I do? |

| Guest | Re: Why No Scanner Wizard? As said before... It's part of MS bundling strategy. Like network cable companies or with other deals sometimes a feature or product is left out deliberately in order to create and incentive for you to buy the next level product (Ultimate in this case). After all FAX is not part of an OS. I don't think they are listening or care otherwise, since you can get a FAX utility for free or very cheaply. I'm not saying I agree with it either but, this is US marketing and capitalism at it's best. You got to love it! -- Regards, BobF.
