Vista - HP printer

I recently bought a new laptop with vista and i have never used vista before.
I have a HP Photosmart all in one printer and was trying to install it but
it says i'm not in the administrator account and i've checked multiple times
and i am. i called HP but they were not much help, do you have any
suggestions?

Download the latest HP software from
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/...isplay=drivers
and then right-click on the installation file you downloaded
and select "Run as administrator".

Even though you may be an Administrator, you normally operate with regular
user powers. You will still need to elevate your powers when required.
This is normally done by right-clicking on the installation .exe file, and
selecting "Run as Administrator".

And remember that with USB connected devices you install the software
with the cable unplugged from the computer end and do not plug it in
until either the installation procedure tells you to or until you reach
[Finish].

Also if you have VISTA in one of the Home versions they do not include
the VISTA Fax & Scan Utility so you will have to rely on what comes
with the HP AIO or buy a third party application and may have problems
with faxing if that is important to you.

If you come back with problems still, please give the exact model of
Photosmart you have and the version of VISTA.
