| | Vista, HP Laserjet, Top Margin Problem Hi, I have just noticed that when I print a document the top margin does not print correctly. When I print a Microsoft Word document with a top margin of 0.5 inches it actually prints with a 3/8" top margin. This also occurs if I prints a page from IE 7 - my default top margin is 0.75 inches but the page prints with a top margin of 5/8". This is a new computer that I received in Dec 2007, I did not notice this problem previously - so I cannot tell you if this is a new problem or not. I am running Windows Home Vista Premium SP1. The printer is a HP Laserjet 2100 that is connected to the computer via an USB to IEEE-1284 Parallel printer cable. The print driver I am using is the HP LaserJet 2100 PCL6 driver. I have deleted the printer and then let Vista reinstall the printer when it finds new hardware. HP does NOT have a newer driver for this configuration. They list have a universal driver but it does not apply to printers connected via a USB port. I am at a loss on how to resolve this, any suggestions? Tom |
