HP Color Laser Jet stopped working

I bought a Dell Dimension E521 and an HP Color Laser Jet that were working
fine for a year. The printer was OK this morning, but then wouldn't print.
The low black cartridge was replaced (didn't solve the problem).

I've de-installed the printer and attempted several times to re-install it
using both the disc that came with the printer and downloaded software from
the HP website.

During the re-installation process I get messages that
a) the installation can't be completed due to some incompatibility issues
with the Vista software (something's missing), and
b) that I need to log off and log on as the administrator! (I AM the
administrator and DID enter my password!!!)

Since taxes are due tomorrow...I HAVE TO PRINT OUT THE FORMS!!!!! HELP!

RE: HP Color Laser Jet stopped working

Corrected info: I didn't "uninstall" the printer...I "deleted" it. Is there
a difference? Do I need to go and uninstall the printer software and then
reinstall that?

Re: HP Color Laser Jet stopped working

The HP Printing Diagnostic Utility was created to diagnose and fix many
common issues preventing printing from the computer:
