| Guest | Delete LPT1 Parallel Port I have a Thinkpad T60p that ships without a parallel port. As a result I get the following error message in Event Viewer: "The Parallel port driver service failed to start due to the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." Since I have no parallel port I want to disable or remove the parallel port service mentioned above. In Printmanagement.msc it will no allow me to delete that Lpt1 port. Any suggestions to stop Vista from trying to use a parallel port that does not exist? |
