I'd been having problems lately with Internet Explorer 7 because I couldn't print (kept having the Add a printer message) or preview documents anymore.
I did have AVG 8.0 as described in this post
here and even unstalled it to see if this would fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it didn't.
Interestingly enough, I have four Vista x64 computers (3 Ultimate, 1 Home Premium) at home but only mine had the problem. They are basically all set up the same way and they all have AVG.
The only difference in setup was that on mine, I had created a new "Home" directory for my user (in D:\Home\Eric) and moved all of my user folders in there one by one by right-clicking on each folder accessing the "Location" tab roughly a month ago.
After not being able to add a bookmark in my Favorites (hadn't done so in a while), I finally decided to check the Security settings on the folders "C:\Users\Eric" and compare them to my new home folder "D:\Home\Eric". Ah-HA! On the original folder, the user Eric was there with Full permissions while on my new home dir, it wasn't there even though I had created it with that user!!. I added my user with full permissions in the Security tab of my new home folder (D:\Home\Eric) and clicked OK.
Closed all windows of IE and reopened it. Tried Print Preview! It Works!!! I can even print again!
I hope this will help anyone having the same problem that I did!
