| | Vista printing issue to Svr2003 print server I have a print server in an Active Directory environment. I had successfully added printers to all of the workstations in our department both XP and Vista. This week; however, we are not able to print from any of our Vista workstations. I have rolled back all MS Updates for the server and the Vista workstations to no avail. This was working last week. Below is the error I receive when attempting to connect to one of the shared printers on the server. Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000003). Any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated. -Shane |

| | RE: Vista printing issue to Svr2003 print server After some additional research, I was able to find a solution to my problem at the following website. I used the "New Port" option and it worked great. http://computerperformance.co.uk/vis...ll_problem.htm -Shane "CWRU-Shane" wrote: Quote: > I have a print server in an Active Directory environment. | Vista Business x64 | Re: Vista printing issue to Svr2003 print server I only way that I have found that consistantly works to connect (and reconnect after reboot) a x64 client to a server 2003 print server is to drag and drop the printer from the server into the clients printer folder. For whatever reason any other way I tried either gives me an error about the driver or connects initially but then fails to reconnect once the client is rebooted or removed and the reconnected to the network |
