Lexmark Printer Z715: Error 1068
I installed the print driver for my Lexmark Z715 from the Lexmark website on my new PC running Vista 32bit and it was working fine. A couple of days later when I sent documents to be printed, the print showed that it was offline. I tried several fixes and then decided to uninstall and reinstall the driver. The uninstall said it was successful but when I attempted to reinstall, it said that a previous version was on the machine and I needed to uninstall. I can find it anywhere and the driver appears to be uninstalled! When I go into services.msc and look at the print spooler, the Startup is set on “Automatic” and the Service Status is “Stopped” when I click “Start” I receive error 1068. When I go into the “Printers” Under the Control Panel, nothing is listed (not even OneNote, and another item that used to be there. When I click “Add Printer” I receive the following message: “Windows can’t open Add Printer. The local print spooler is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. " As I mentioned above, I am unable to restart the spooler (error 1068) and I have restarted the machine but to no avail. This is very frustrating. Please help! Johanna
