Vista - psc1350 code wont clear.

Hi Everyone,
First time on a PC users forum so I will try to explain things as best I can.Still getting to grips with my new HP DV9823em laptop and first experience of vista.

I have installed my HP psc1350 onto the laptop and encountered problems with paper jams.I have cleaned the paper rollers and now have the printer running fine (in photocopy mode).

However I cannot clear the Error-Paper Jam message in the printer section you reach via the Control Panel.Therefore not being able to test the printer in print mode.
As I said I'm not a computer expert so if any replies could be as simple as poss that would be great.That said,I can see me dropping by for advice so hopefully I will learn as we go.

From experiance with other printers, i have found that they have sensors on
all the inspection doors in the paper path. i have found with some printers
that until you have opened them all with the printer on, in spite of having
already cleared the blockage, they wont clear the error condition.
