OfficeJet L7580 & Solution Center Software

I have an HP OfficeJet L7580 AIO and Vista 32bit SP1

I am using the AIO Networked. I used the Add Printer Feature and it located the printer on the network, installed it, and I can print from it fine.

I can scan from my computer from other programs using the WIA OfficeJet L7580 selection from the drop down boxes, not the OfficeJet Twain.

However, the HP Solution Center will not locate the device. I have used this software for scanning on other computers i have running xp and love it's features but each time i try to install the software package for the AIO it eventually gets to the step 3 part and can not locate the device even when I try connecting via USB.

It gives the option to locate later and still install the software package, however when I try to run the HP Solution Center it says it can not locate the device.

So why can I access the thing with all other software and via IP address but not with the software that came with it?

I have followed all the HP solutions but nothing

I am very Tech handy, I thank all for any help.

Uncle Keith
