Access Denied when trying to connect printers shared from XP Computer

Access Denied when trying to connect printers shared from XP Computer

I keep getting Access denied when trying to connect my new vista computer to
xp printer through wireless network. I can see the printer but get Access
denied error. Please help.

Check the permissions for the printer - it not just have to be shared out,
but it should have the proper permissions for you to connect to it.

To add to Yuriy's suggestion, here's some information about printer
permissions that might help:

- What are printer permissions?

- If you run into any issues which changing the printer permissions, see

I also found this post which describes a way to add printer drivers to your
Vista PC. It seemed to work for the same situation that you describe. Hope
