Vista - Good news-Lexmark printers

After chatting with Lexmark, about printer drivers (I have a 3350) here's the

Warren: Glad you got a response about your 3350... Unfortunately, I
have an X5150 and all the response I get is 'Keep checking back in the
next few months'... MONTHS!! I am supposed to do without printing for
MONTHS?!? I don't think so... guess my Lexmark printer is history.

I'm in the same boat. Got me a perfecty good x5150 and can't use it either.
I got the same results you got from Lexmark Tech Support. IWe have tax'es to
do, don't want to wait 60 days so I can print and mail. I did a little
shopping today. Can't find a printer that is ready for Vista. Do you know of

I recently purchased a Canon Pixma ip4300 that Vista loaded the drivers off
the setup disk.

Heh... I went ahead and bought a HP Officejet 5610v, although the full
feature stuff is not available yet. The stock Vista drivers allows it to
print with no problems.

I have a Lexmark X6170 and the Lexmark site says a driver won't be available
until April 30th! Thinking strongly of buying another copy of Windows XP and
having it installed on this new computer that came with Vista. Too many
problems, deleted emails won't empty, on and on ... Also, I got the message
that I could get free tech support for this computer for 30 days, but when I
try to get support I am directed to enter payment information for $59.XX for
support. Frustrated in California...
