Vista - HP 7310 All-In-One on network

I have an hp 7310 installed on the network rather than on usb so I can use it
with another labtop. Well microsoft installs it perfectly.....as a printer.
The problem is that I cannot get it to recognize it as a scanner. I am sure
it would work if I plugged it in as a usb but I am not going to do that. Any
ideas on how to get my scanner back?

BTW I can confirm that what was said about the 7410 is true for the 7310.
When you print on both sides automatically it will mess it up. The front page
is correct and the back page is upside down.

HP is still working on the network scan software for Vista. Check HP.com
for any new information.
