Has anyone had any luck getting a Konica Minolta Scan Dual IV to work with
Vista?
I've tried everything I can think of and I can't get it to work.
Unfortunately Minolta doesn't support this (or much of anything) these days.

Looks like you might be right, the website says that all support ceased
March 2006.
The only pages I can find are:
http://ca.konicaminolta.com/support/...ers/index.html

The scan program I use for both Minolta and Microtek is VueScan... available
from Hamrick.com.
Must admit though, I haven't used in Vista yet because I am waiting for
driver for my SCSI board.
Thanks for the feedback. I've just downloaded a trial version of VueScan
and it works with Vista. I want to try it for a bit longer before I buy it.
Looks like that is the only recourse.

My Adaptec 19160 scsi board is working fine in VISTA since installing
VISTA with the card in place.
FWIW
I am successfully using a Scan Dual IV with Vista Home Premium. Actually I can drive it with any of 3 scanning programs -- (1) the Dimage Scan Dual4 Utility, (2) Hamrick's Vuescan, and (3) SilverFast SE for Minolta Dual Scan IV. I have activated the XP SP2 compatibility mode, but cannot say that this is necessary -- it just seemed to be the wisest thing to do. In short -- no problem! I have tinkered with the Vista settings to make them resemble XP, ala PC World, but this was simply for my own sanity in adjusting to Vista & don't think it is the reason for the scanner success. Just install the 1.0.3 drivers & software and give it a go!
