Vista - hp scanjet 3300c users

Forget about trying to upgrade the drivers the hardware has been made
obsolete.

yep and a bunch of other HP printers. I have a HP Photosmart 1315 that
works great with XP. But no chance for Vista drivers per HP.

As HP state on their website, it's over 7 years out of production. I think
it's probably time you invested in a nice USB 2.0 scanner, you may be
surprised at how much improved scanners have become.

My HP SJ5P scsi connected scanner, which is ages older than yours, is
running fine under VISTA since I did what I did for W2K and XP --
install the HP Deskscan 2.9 software that uses the TWAIN connection.

You can download Deskscan 2.9 from the HP website if you search for
that name. Install it as Run as Administrator and do the Scanner Test
at the end -- my balloon floated up nicely.
