| Re: Vista, Windows Fax Is there a way to buy/install the Microsoft fax program, other than upgrading to Ultimate? As a advanced home user faxing is important, but the rest of the Ultimate features are overkill for me. Can features be added "ala carte?" If not, might be a good idea for MSFT in the future? | Re: Vista, Windows Fax No, there is no way to buy the Microsoft Fax service for Vista other than upgrading Vista to a version that includes it. No, there are no current plans at Microsoft (that I'm aware of) to make this service available "a'la carte". Currently, the only way to add faxing to any of the Vista home editions is via a third party application such as http://www.snappysoftware.com/index.html. But when I went to the trust center and looked at the add-in, I couldn't find this one there and that's what perplexed me and why I posted this request for help. | Re: Vista, Windows Fax You should also be aware that we have learned that Dell has done a sloppy job with its Vista installations. It strands a utility written for them by Compulink that has caused problems with Outlook 2007 and its Addins. Ultimately, I suspect your recourse may be with Dell. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "jw1941" <jw1941@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2DFEE987-6778-4E9F-94EC-F4B3BFBD9932@microsoft.com... > Yes, Russ, that exactly right.
