Vista - Printer Preferences

When I select printer preferences. from the print menu, the preferences menu
briefly flashes on the screen then disappears. I can't change my
preferences. I have tried deleting the printer and re-installing it but it
doesn't make a difference.

Which printer.... which application..... etc etc! A little more info would
be particularly useful.

Sorry about that. HP-6110xi and it happens with any application that can
print. I'm using the Vista native drivers.

I have a HP 6110, and it does work, using the Vista drivers.
I can open the preferences ok.

The HP Director software doesn't work.

I guess I would try deleting the printer, unplugging it, and rebooting.
then try to install it again. ???

Interesting. Did you install any HP software or just let the printer find
default drivers from Vista?
