| | Printing problems via router Asus WL-500gPremium I have printer Epson CX3700 connecting to router (ip 192.168.1.1). I've change OS from XP to Vista 32bit Business. Now I can not print anithing. If I install the port settings as ROW protocol (port 9100), printer starts with printing normally, but it could not finish (as cycle job). If I install the port setting as LPR protocol - nothing happend. |

| | Re: Printing problems via router Asus WL-500gPremium Does the router manual have instructions on the proper port configuration? The manual should also have the queue name requirements if the device supports the LPD. I would also disable Bi-directional on the printer properties Ports tab since Epson's normally attempt to perform ink status on the device that is normally attached to the local system. -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | | Re: Printing problems via router Asus WL-500gPremium Router has not any instructions on port configuration. And I did not see there any explanations about LPD... So, I disabled bi-directional option - but result was the same. | | Re: Printing problems via router Asus WL-500gPremium I can't find this print device on the Epson website (I tried US, Canada, Europe). Are you using a Vista driver? Does the printer work when connected locally to the Vista machine? If the print server does not document LPD it's probably not a supported service so the LPR setting in Standard Port will send to a non existent service. -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
