Drivers are the responsibility of the hardware manufacturer. No Vista
drivers are listed for the specified printer at the Lexmark site. The OS
Compatibility list at the Lexmark site does not show the 83x printer in its
list. Your best source of information on this would be Lexmark. Have you
contacted them or their tech support to ask if they will be supporting your
printer in Vista?

Cari, I don't see the 83x anywhere on that list. The 83x is a separate
printer from the X8300 series.

I e-mailed Lexmark tech support and they said...The drivers for Windows Vista
are currently not available. I apologize for
any inconvenience that may have been caused to you. At this time, we do not
have any specific dates for driver availability. Please check our website
periodically over the next few months to check the status of Windows Vista
drivers for your product.
