Vista - NEC Superscript 1260

Hoping someone here can help out. I have the above NEC Laser printer and
love it. But unfortunately, Vista isn't recognizing the printer. I've been
on NEC's website for product support and I'm told that they are not
developing a driver for Vista. The printer worked fine with XP. Is there
anyway around this? This printer cost me over $1000 so I really want to be
able to use it with Vista. Thank you.

Well I tried that driver, installed it ... was able to print a test page
which didn't look quite right in format. However, after trying to print a
word doc. and a couple other emails, they would be blank or with just a few
solid lines on the page. So I'm back to square one ...
