Unhappy with Windows Vista

Recently procured a new home PC with Windows Vista, now nearly all my
computer games, hardware have a known compatablity problem...everything from
my printer to AutoCAD 2007 software is not able to be run. Suggest you offer
customers a chance to go back to Windows XP ... I would if I could...Yes I am
that unhappy with the Windows Vista operating system.

Re: Unhappy with Windows Vista

Have you tried installing or running in XP compitbility mode? Have you
checked to see if there were any patches for your games and other software?
Have you checked to see if there were updated Vista drivers for your printer
and other hardware? And who is the "you" you are referring to? I
personally have had very few problems with my games or other software
installing or running with my Vista Ultimate.

Re: Unhappy with Windows Vista

Did you not think to check any of this out before taking the Vista step? You
do have a responsibility to ensure that what you purchase is suitable.. go
back to the vendor and ask what they can do for you, or as somebody else has
suggested, look for fixes..

It is not possible to suggest anything specific as you have not named stuff
that doesn't work..

Re: Unhappy with Windows Vista

I first checked compatibility before I upgraded although I was a Vista beta
tester so I basicially knew beforehand what would work and what would not
work. My HP SJ 5200C would not work but it would work with VueScan software
but I decided to buy a new all in one HP product instead. Quake 4 runs but
not all that well but NVIDIA still continues to tweak the Vista drivers.

Robert
