Re: Vista home premium? FAX capable or not?

Dont forget the other alternative please if you have the memory
use Virtual PC and install XP, which has the fax service built in, or
Win98se and Winfax/etc
Most of us have these "old" OS's and software lying around :-P

Re: Vista home premium? FAX capable or not?

Possibly a little extreme for a 'blue moon' fax..

Re: Vista home premium? FAX capable or not?

Maybe, but for us who like to be legal...its a Hell of a lot cheaper than
upgrading to Business/Ultimate :-P

Re: Vista home premium? FAX capable or not?

It won't work if your fax is in an all-in-one device on a USB port, like
mine....;-(

Re: Vista home premium? FAX capable or not?

Snappy Fax costs US$29.00, works with Vista, and reports are very good..
cheaper than Vista Ultimate, takes up less space than XP running in VM and
is way better featured than MS Fax..

If the printer is Vista compatible, won't the drivers and software from the
printer manufacturer, assuming they've been updated for Vista work without
the necessity of a VM installation?
