| | Re: Installing a printer You install the software BEFORE connecting the printer, the software will tell you when to connect it. To enable the spooler service, go into the Control Panel, click on Admin Tools, then Services. Ensure the Print Spooler is set to Automatic. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "ryan815" <ryan815@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A521DEC8-23F7-48BB-AF05-F057DB5A456A@microsoft.com... >I got this error (print spooler(spooler):The service could not be started, > either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices > associated > with it) also do i need to have the printer connected to my computer when > i > install it? |

| | Re: Installing a printer The printer my company having is a RICOH network printer with IP address. Before we install the printer, we need to:- 1) install a driver named "smartdevice". 2) to create a port using smartdevice But it shows Spooler Subsystem App Error. Then I go into the Control Panel, click on Admin Tools, then Services and restart the Print Spooler but still could not add the port.
