Re: Help w/ Printing Properties

HP say that it's an older printer and they are not going to write updated
drivers for it..... if you read the bottom paragraph:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...=90809&lang=en

You might find that some of the advanced features are no longer available
when using this basic driver. You can upgrade to an HP product that is fully
compatible with Windows Vista if the advanced features are necessary.

They suggest you may wish to upgrade..... probably if you do, it might not
be another HP product.

I know how you feel but HP are not the only company behaving like this so
caveat emptor rules in these early days.

Well Yes and No <g>

The basic reason may be because to get VISTA out on the streets HP
provided to Microsoft a very basic driver for some of its printers to
be included in VISTA with a view to providing fully featured software
later.

But "Yes", if you had not gone to VISTA you would not have had the
problem if the fully featured driver was available for your printer and
version of Windows.
