HP Color LaserJet 2600n and Vista

Can someone please point me in the right direction !
Just upgraded to Vista and have a new printer. I understand that the printer
isn't completely compatible with Vista...yet...but that there is a work
around solution..Can anyone advise me in plain and simple terms.. Thanks in
advance

Hi John,

Thanks for the update...But I must be doing something wrong !!!!

I've installed the drivers located at :

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=2093

and used the EZIinstall..but get an error message saying that the
installation operation failed and when I go to the status page I receive
another error message telling me an unknown error has occured and to check
the power and cables...which I have done several time...Any advice?

I guess the question is completely misunderstood now, the question was if anybody knew a work around for the installation of the drivers for the HP Colorjet 2600n drivers for Windows Vista 64 bits. The only information some people are giving here are links to the 32 bits drivers which do not work within Vista 64 bits. So I will ask the question again douse anybody know a work around for the installation of the drivers for the HP Colorjet 2600n within Windows Vista 64 bits.

Now, I can see from this page that HP has been working hard to knock out drivers and have a large number of printer models supported. However, it’s not like they haven’t had plenty of time to prepare for Vista.
Am I going to have to wait until July for certified drivers? Am I going to have to put one of my machines back to XP just to print? I’ll be damned if I’m going to do that.
I know what I’ll do, I’ll take the opportunity to upgrade my LaserJet by buying a model with DRIVERS THAT WORK from a competitor to HP.
See how that works?
I mean, come on folks, is it some sort of bloody conspiracy or something that companies can’t get drivers out for their products on Vista. It’s not like they didn’t have years to prepare? Do manufacturers not want Vista to succeed? Do they not want Vista users to buy their products?
So how about it HP? When am I going to be able to use my printer, or have I just got a bloody expensive plastic brick?

I just found the software for the all in one 2610 for vista on HP's board
under my hardware. I also
selected vista as my software, but noticed a vista 64 software option. Have
you tried looking under your hardware there? Just a suggestion
