Dell 922 & Vista Ultimate

I have a Dell 922 AIO shared on a box with Windows XP SP2 Professional
installed. Until just a few days ago my laptop, running Vista Home
Ultimate, printed just fine. The Windows XP box still prints fine.

I have, since, reinstalled Vista and Office 2007. I still have the
same problem. The Windows XP box is wired into my router; the Vista
box is wireless. I get the same results if I physically connect the
Vista box to the router.

When I try to connect to the shared device, the local spooler service
stops. When I connect the device directly to the laptop (USB) the
Vista driver installs fine but nothing will output on the
printer...the queue just backs up. I have tried installing locally
and then changing the port to \\XPBox\SharedPrinter with out any luck.

Would this all work better if I installed a wireless print server?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions...
