Purchasing a Printer that operates on Vista

Our system currently runs on Windows XP but we are considering purchasing a
printer that runs on Vista. Is the printer compatiable to our Windows XP
operating system?

So far as I know all printers that are Vista compatible will work with Windows
XP. All you need to do is look at the specs for the printer you are
considering, they will tell you which operating systems are supported.

Re: Purchasing a Printer that operates on Vista

I am using windows vista home premium. I have connected my old printer
which I used with windows xp. It is a HP DeskJet 940c. I was told by HP it
was NOT compatible, with Vista but it works fine. I did not install any
drivers. Vista found them for me. Give your old printer a try.
Hope this helps

If it runs on Vista, it will have XP drivers as well.

Re: Purchasing a Printer that operates on Vista

If the folks who write DIVX would update their software ALL my PCs (bar the
Server 2003) would be running Vista. Just because a few people are having
problems, doesn't mean avoid it. Millions are not having problems.

Grab the latest XviD codec and use your media player of choice, you
don't need DivX's bloatware.
