Is there a way that I can adjust the ink level used when printing.
I used to be able to do it with my old PC under printing preferences
advanced but am unable to find with Vista.

That function is provided by the printer drivers, not the operating
system (Vista). Go to your printer mftr.'s tech support site and see if
there are updated drivers for your specific model printer. If there are,
install them per the mftr.'s directions. If there aren't, then I'm sorry
but that function will not be available in Vista.
