Vista - Default Printer

Every time my laptop is in sleep mode, shutdown, restarted, etc. it resets
the default printer to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer. I know I could
probably take the easy way out and delete the Microsoft XPS Document Writer
(and also the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer) but I really don't want
to. Does anyone know of any other way? I am the only user on the laptop and I
am the administrator. I would appreciate any ideas/suggestions. Thanks in
advance!!

Rather than delete them, right click on them and disable them.

That's what I was thinking too but there is no disable in the list. Even
under the 'Run as Administrator'
