    OCR

    Why don't they have OCR built-in to Vista? Wouldn't it make since instead of
    saving as an image file for documents scanned in... Oh well, just a
    suggestion.

    Microsoft would have to buy in the OCR technology and that costs money?

    Microsoft also need to be careful of not having the operating system
    do too much. Every time they bundle another function into it, they run
    the risk of anti-trust suits.
