| | Idle printer I have a new Sony laptop and a new Epson printer (RX580). I have set-up a wireless network and everything works but the printer. My desktop has XP and the laptop has Vista. When the print set-up page comes up it shows that the printer is idle. I assume this is why I cannot print from my laptop. What can I do to correct this so I can print from my laptop? |

| | Re: Idle printer We need a lot more detail here. Which computer is the printer connected to? Did you install the Vista driver to the print server? Where exactly are you seeing that the printer is idle? Typically "idle" means that the printer is waiting for a print job. When you try to print from your laptop what happens?
