Lexmark Driver for Windows Vista

I just purchased this computer and it came with a Lexmark 1270 printer,
copier, scanner & fax. After I connected everything I kept getting a
communication error. I went to the Lexmark website and see where they do
have a fix for my problem, but one thing they said I need to know is which
Vista do I have. They have a driver for Windows Vista and one for Windows
Vista (64). How do I know which one I have. I looked on the box the CPU
came in and it says Windows Vista Home Premium. I am using a AMD 64 X 2 4600
processor, does this mean I need to download the Vista 64?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

On the desktop, right-click the Computer icon, select Properties. In
the middle of the window that opens will be the system type (32 or 64
bits).

Re: Lexmark Driver for Windows Vista

Having an Athlon 64 CPU, as I have, does not mean that you have to have
a 64 bit VISTA since the CPU handles 32 bit systems just as well, maybe
better!

It's highly unlikely that you have VISTA 64 bit unless it is a very
specialized machine you bought but youve been told how to find out for
sure.

You are lucky not having 64 bit VISTA since there is a shortage of
drivers for hardware .....
