Vista - download my HP scanner 4400 into Window vista

when I insert the disc it does not respond, tried many times and later on I
tried to delete what ever I have my downloading but would not allowed me and
I am still waiting for a sollution how to let window vista to accept my HP
4400 scanner.

Are you certain that Vista supports your HP 4400 scanner? Check out HP's web
site...it will tell you there. If it does, download the drivers from their
site. Good luck. I have an 18 month-old HP 3015 that HP does not fully
support in Vista (I can print but cannot scan).

I doubt the CD has Vista drivers on it.... but the HP website is at:

My HP Scanjet 5470c is no longer supported as it is more than 7 years
old...... Look on the HP website.

I got my HP ScanJet 5470c to work with no problems using XP drivers.

TWAIN works (not WIA).

I ran the install in XP SP2 mode (running as administrator caused problems --
the menu items in the HP programs worked but the window links would not work).

I have a MFC all in one printer with photo view window and at first it
wouldn't download everything that I need for it to work propertly either, so
I went to HP website and downloaded (the software and drivers) for window
vista 64 bits
now it work . but you got to make sure that its for window vista. Its there,
it took me a little while to find it but I did.
