Vista - Printer Problem - Can't Uninstall

I'm having problems trying to uninstall a network printer that I suspect
installed XP drivers. The print spooler app keeps crashing and even when I
go in to Services and restart the spooler as soon as I try to delete the
offending printer the spooler program crashes. I can restart the spooler
attempt to delete the printrer again but the spooler shuts down again.
Anyone have any suggestions how I can get around this to delete the printer?
