Vista - CanoScan N670U Driver/ Software

I recently got a new computer with Vista Premium. I connected my Canon N670U
and immeditely it found new hardware and installed the appropriate driver.
When I access Adobe PhotoDeluxe, which I normally use to scan, or other such
programs to scan, the program doesn't see the scanner although it shows in
Device Manger as working properly. Even CanoScan's Tool Bar "options" which
should display Canoscan N670U as active, doesn't. No program recognized the
scanner's driver/sofware. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Dear Lee: i was able to get it to scan photo's using Google's Picasa but I
can seem to make it copy letters or text without making huge file's, gOOD
lUCK, rEGARDS, jOSE'

Thank you so much for the reply. I'll try Picasa and see if it works. I
really need it for documents more than photos. Nothing ventured as they say.
