Printing

My computer is stating that the printer is not communicating. I would like to
know the steps to take to fix this problem.

What make and model of printer and where is it install? Locally? By USB,
Parallel, IrDA, Bluetooth....?

the printer is a Lexmark X1185. It is connected through an USB cord.

Did you try an uninstall and reinstall......
