| Guest | Shared Fax server unavailable I have Vista Business on a new machine. I am able to Install the Shared Fax from my netowrk search of printers. But, I am unable to access the SharedFax accounts or use the Shared Fax Wizard present on my XP machines, or on my Windows 2000 machines. The server is a Windows Small Business Edition 2000. When the Windows Fax and Scan program appears, it says the Fax accounts are unavailable. When I set the Fax Account to the Server, it Disconnects, and I get an error that says "hardware error" now. All other machines on the network run the SHaread Fax without problems. This is my only Vista machine. |

| Guest | Re: Shared Fax server unavailable Known issue on Vista. Apparently Microsoft has no solutions. Have you asked in an SBS group to see if any end users have figured out a solution? Make sure you post your path statements and configuration steps used when you do. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Marcus" <Marcus@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:26E2249A-A903-4F52-97BC-909040E2B4BA@microsoft.com... >I have Vista Business on a new machine. | Guest | Re: Shared Fax server unavailable There are no answers except in purchasing a new Fax Server software package from a Third Party source. This seems a bit excessive, since all my other mahines in the office work fine without Vista, and can connect to the Fax server. Where do I complain to Microsoft again? | Guest | Re: Shared Fax server unavailable When I try to open a support incident by email, it says the PID is invalid. I have not had Vista activated 90 days yet, but it won't let me enter an email request for help. The OEM is not on the list for help either. I'm frustrated again. Any ideas? | Guest | Re: Shared Fax server unavailable No. I'd try in one of the general Vista groups where they deal with support questions. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Marcus" <Marcus@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1902E282-5186-4191-B397-BE94CF8F105E@microsoft.com... > When I try to open a support incident by email, it says the PID is > invalid.
