Increase number of rings

How do I increase the number of rings when sending a fax, before Windows
terminates the fax and considers it to have failed?

Re: Increase number of rings

Try adding several commas after the phone number. Each comma adds a 2-3
second delay to the dial sequence and this will keep the modem from starting
its connect timeout timer until the delay finishes.

Re: Increase number of rings

Hi there,
The problem is that in the 'use a carrier for long distance calls' box... a comma is not a valid character!
It is a valid character in the 'prefix for external calls box' higher up the list, though and this works!

Thanks for your input... now why couldn't that be in the Help! file?
