Ink Cartridge Change

I have been all over the properties for the printer and cannot find the
screen that directs me to change the ink cartridge. Do I just change it and
hope for the best? I can't even find the ink level screen. I have an hp
PSC1350 all in one printer, never had this problem with XP. By the way I
read the stuff on Epson, and that's the vey reason I thew mine down the trash
chute at work!

See the answers you got when you posted this same question in the other
newsgroup. Please don't multipost; it makes more work for everyone and
will get you *less* help, not more. See this for why:

Re: Ink Cartridge Change

I'm sorry, I didn't know I was multiposting, I thought the one I sent to you
got lost in cyberspace. It wasn't intentional at all. No one has helped me
in either case, because it seems the hp1315 software won't download to the
Vista operating system, I'll just have to watch the color and change the
cartridges when I think the color has run out, and hope for the best.

Do you mean the fully featured software:

» HP Full Feature Software and Drivers

03-2007 080.001.237.000 - 163.07M

at:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...c=en&cc=us&dlc
=en&product=374568&lang=en

If you went to the link to get that software note that it offers two
alternatives:

[Install Now] and [Download only]

Choose Download only and if it asks select Save and note where it saves
the file on your PC.

Then make sure you follow the modified procedure below:

Uninstall any of the software for that printer that you can see in
Control Panel / Remove programs

Go to Start / Settings / Printers as well as to Fax & Scan and delete
any icons for the 1315 -- printer, scanner.

Turn the 1315 power off and unplug it from the line supply and
disconnect the USB cable from the Computer.

Reboot the computer and then start the Installation of the software --
do not reconnect the 1315 or its USB cable until after installing the
software.

Installation Instructions

Click the Download only button.

Note: Make sure the HP All-in-One device is "Not" connected to the
computer before running the download file. << this is essential, not
even the USB cable connected to the PC

Click the Save button to begin the download. << I prefer to Save

When downloaded go to the file in the location it was saved to and
Right Mouse Click on it and select Run as Administrator and OK your way
out.

Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the installation process.

Click Finish.

Connect the USB cable between the HP All-in-One device and the
computer, then turn on the HP All-in-One device.

Your product should be ready to print.

Download file(s) to install later:
» AIO_CDB_Full_Non-Network_enu.exe 1/1 (163.07M)

Hopefully once you have downloaded it it will install if you Run as
Administrator.

Let us know how you get on.
