It has nothing to do with how stupid you are, or how stupid your
questions are. I said nothing about your intelligence, because I know
nothing about your intelligence.

You can interpret my message as "criticizing" your post if you want
to, but that wasn't at all my point. It was simply a plea for you to
write intelligible English, to make it easier for me to help you.

My "standards" are irrelevant. If you are looking for help, it's in
*your* best interests to make it as easy for those trying to help you
as possible.

If you write clearly, you make it possible for me (and others) to help
you. If you don't write clearly, helping you is very difficult, and
most people won't be willing to make the effort.

It's entirely your choice. I don't care at all. I'm happy to help you
if I can, but not if you make trying to help a chore for me.

Re: pasting scanned docs

most of the sites just say "paste resume here". I assume a word doument. I
used my scanner because of the lack of floppy drive on my new computer and my
lack of knowlege to know that a scan won't work. one employer's HR dept. let
me fax my document to them. i wish they all would. I used the OCR because the
documents were not staying formatted as written. I guess I will try to make a
disc and try that. reading these posts is amazing how much there is to know
about vista and computing in general.

Re: pasting scanned docs

It seems as though your resume is a Word document (xxxx.doc extension), and if
you can get it copied to CD, you should be able to use the file with no further
actions on your part. Unless, of course you would like to edit the document,
which you would be able to do if you have Word installed on your computer. If
you have Word 2007, one word of caution: save the document in the older .doc
format, employers may not be able to read Word 2007's new .docx format.
