Try the Vista Printing newsgroup? Windows Update is not Vista specific
and in any case is not where printing specialists are likely to be reading.
Vista Hardware might be another newsgroup which would be a better choice than WU.

Hint: I have cross-posted to such a newsgroup so to enter it from your
web-based newsreader all you have to do is click on the other newsgroup
name in the header of this message.

Otherwise please explain why you think that this symptom
has anything to do with Windows Update.

BTW notice that your error code isn't very specific
so you should be looking for its context in any logs
which may be related to your symptom.

<cmd_output OS="XPsp2">
F:\>set /a c = 0x103
259
F:\>net helpmsg %c%

No more data is available.
</cmd_output>

Good luck

Re: HP Printer drivers in vista 80070103

HP is working on a whole class of OfficeJet, DeskJet, and PhotoSmart devices
for updated drivers on Vista. I'll check if HP finally got the drivers
working on WU.
