How do I set up fax?

I have a new computer with Vista OS. In XP
Programs/Accessories/Communications I could go to my fax monitor and use it.
How do I get to fax in Vista?

Re: How do I set up fax?

Hello Art,

Go to Control Panel, Programs, under Programs and Features there is a link
'Turn Windows Features on or off'. Select that, and make sure there is a
check in the box for Windows Fax and Scan.

Do note that Fax is not available if you have a Home Edition of Vista.

Re: How do I set up fax?

which version if you have home basic home premium, there is no way to get a
fax software, you have to have business or ultimate edition, that is another
way microsft screu*x us up again, i got one for 19.95 at www.rkssoftware.com
or just check the general newsgroup for vista if the address is incorrect,
plus if you go with them you can try there software which is designed for xp
and vista, you can try it for 30 days to make sure it works well, and you
like it.
