HP Officejet Issues in Vista

Hello,

I have been using an Officejet d135 all-in-one printer successfully for a
couple of months, connected to a Dell Laptop running Vista. The printer is
connected to the laptop via a USB cable. Today, I am unable to print. At
first, the printer would eject a blank page. I tried disconnecting the USB
cable and reconnecting it, and deleting and adding the printer again. Now,
when I send a document to the printer, I get a printer error message which
just sits in the printer status window. I also went to the HP website, which
tells me that the latest drivers for Vista are included in Vista and there is
nothing new to download.

When this printer stopped working, thinking it was a problem with the
printer itself, I connected to a HP laserjet printer, also via a USB cable.
but was only able to print one page from IE and then was unable to print
anything after that, from any other program I tried.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions on how to resolve this problem. Thank you.

Cynthia
