windows defender auto scan

I have windows defender set to scan every day at 6am. For the past couple
of days defender tells me that I have not had a scan in more than 5 days.
Every time I see this message I click "scan now" but I get the message the
next time I restart my computer. Any ideas?

Hi Symp EL,

The computer needs to be running for Windows Defender to run the scan. Otherwise you will see the message. If you do have the computer running, then has the history for Windows Defender been deleted? Some 3rd party programs will have a option to delete history files for applications. (EX: CCleaner)
