| | Can not create/write/delete file on root of c: drive I have a customer that would like to use the Data Tracking wizard in Excel in Office 2007. They installed the add-in but it only works correctly under the Administrator account. When I ran Process Montor I discovered that the problem is occuring because the wizard is trying to create/write/delete a file in the root of the c: drive. Vista does not like this and neither does Windows 2003 Terminal server. Does any one know how to get either Vista or Terminal server to allow a user (not administrator) to create a file on the root of c:? I tried assigning file permissions to the root of c: for the user but his does not work. There is a higher authority working somewhere that is overriding everything. Any help is appreciated. |

You might try turning off UAC for that account to see if it will help. This tutorial will show you how if needed. User Account Control (UAC) Shawn |
