Windows Activation Key

Hi,I've Had windows ultimate 32bit for a year which I bought for about
500$,And just recently I upgraded a few parts including my CPU to support
vista 64bit,I had to format and re-install.But now for some reason I get this
pop up that my windows activation key has expired and need to buy a new
one!??! I bought this for 500$+ and need to pay 60$+ for a new one everytime
I have to upgrade my PC? I want to contact windows but just to start a
support I need to pay 60$ so i'm going to give this forum a shot. I even got
the bill from where I bought it from : Future shop in Canada QC, Laval on
St-martin And Le Corbusier facing highway 15. Basically,How can I re-use my
old key without having to buy a new one? Because if I can't,I can clearly see
why alot of people are downgrading to XP. Thanks for the support all!

It hasn't expired. MS insists on re-activating if it sees what it
considers significant hardware changes. Use the options they give you.
Phone activations isn't that big a deal...

Re: Windows Activation Key

You don't need to buy another copy, for that matter why should you? You've
already shelled out a fortune as it is.

The product key I being flagged because of the hardware changes you have
made, a simple telephone call should get you back to normal. Rather than go
into an expansive explanation I refer you to this link on my website:
http://vistasupport.mvps.org/product...ady_in_use.htm

Yes, I know the link says 'product key already in use' but accessing the
telephone service is exactly the same. Just remember it is automated, you
need to be in front of your pc, and when the automated service refuses
activation 'stay' on the line until you are transferred to a 'real' person.
