| | IPSec Default Policies Does Windows Vista come with default IPSec policies like Windows XP and 2000? I can't seem to find them. By default policies, I mean the pre-configured policies named "Client (Respond Only)", etc. |

By default policies, I mean the pre-configured > policies named "Client (Respond Only)", etc. Ultimate for Client side. I have also used the Server side policies too. That's if you're looking at IPsec to act in a firewall like manner to supplement Vista's FW. http://www.analogx.com/CONTENTS/articles/ipsec.htm |

| | Re: IPSec Default Policies Thank you for your reply, Mr. Arnold, but I am still wondering if Windows Vista comes with the pre-configured IPSec policies like Windows XP and 2000 does. When I open up the IP Security Policies snap-in in mmc, I can't seem to find them, so does that mean they do not exist, or am I just not looking in the right place? Thanks "Mr. Arnold" wrote: Quote: > > "Anonymous" <Anonymous@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:74AF5983-5BC0-4A78-AD52-642254A1A641@xxxxxx Quote: > > Does Windows Vista come with default IPSec policies like Windows XP and > > 2000? > > I can't seem to find them. You can even make your own Analogx covers everything you would be concerned about on the client side. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942964 I am sure you can do on Vista too. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813878 |
