Backup

I successfully completed a system backup a month or so ago. When I decided it
was time for my next full backup I got an error backup tried to find a backup
device "Windows could not find backup devices om your computer" together with
RPC error 0x800706BE. There is a RAID array and 2 x External drives attached
via USB 2 so the devices are certainly there (and can be viewed in Device
Manager).

Windows then popped up a window with the following message "Microsoft block
level backup engine service exe stopped working and was closed".

I have no idea how to start resolving this problem. Can anyone help?

Thanks.
