| | Open File Security Warning In trying to run the file that is generating the subject error, I right-click on the file giving me the warning, and choose Properties. On the General tab of Properties, I click on Unblock (Apply, OK). But every time I run the file, I still get the error and still, when I go to Properties, find the option to Unblock. Any reason I can't get the fix to "stick"? I'd appreciate any help! Thanks! |

It will not Unblock in any other location. Make sure that the file is not already open to. You can check on the Processes tab in the Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DEL). If you see the file listed, then click it to highlight it, then click End Process. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| | Re: Open File Security Warning It's been a while since I had this error, but I believe the problem is that the file is located in a system directory. Try copying the file in question to your desktop and unblocking it there. If it works, you may have to reconfigure your startup (or whatever) to run from your desktop. I supposed you could also just take ownership of the folder where it is too. - Henson "kurtrock" <kurtrock@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:EC9EBCE2-D042-4592-B7CE-660652771365@xxxxxx Quote: > In trying to run the file that is generating the subject error, I > right-click > on the file giving me the warning, and choose Properties.
