| | Re: download into C: Drive is Rejected The download folder is at: c:\users\<your username>\downloads. The easiest way to find it is to type c:\u, then hit tab until you see c:\users. Type a backslash and then tab until you have the right username, then backslash again, and d, and the tab key twice. --- Your question may already be answered in Windows Vista Security: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/047...otectyourwi-20 "Confused!!" wrote: Quote: > the download needs to be in the C: drive because i need to find it with the > command window and then restart the computer and start the scan then... > > "f/fgeorge" wrote: > Quote: > > On Thu, 10 Jan 2008 12:29:05 -0800, Confused!! > > <Confused!!@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > Quote: > > >I have adware in my computer and I have received a download from my antivirus > > >software but it needs to be saved in the C rive and my computer keeps> > >telling me I do not have that privilage enven though I am the administrator. > > > > > >What can I do to get that permission?? > > |

Do a right click on your my documents folder and you will see where it is. Ours is c:\documents and settings\user login name\mydocuments Yours will be wherever your IT people put it. I have my particular folder on a network drive so I can see it from multiple computers. But the folder listed above is still there, just unused by me. If your pc has "issues" your IT people should be more than happy to come fix it to keep your pc from infecting all the other pc's on the network. |
